RAW MATERIAL SPECIAL SERVICES

We provide special services to our customers which allow us to fill requirements that other suppliers may find troublesome or otherwise lack the expertise to fulfill. Some examples follow:

  1. Band-sawing: Usually to make smaller Rectangular Bar from larger one, e.g., make 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" x 37.7" cut from 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" x 37.7" Bar.
  2. Machining/Milling: Usually to make non-standard Extrusion Shapes, e.g., make 1-1/2" x 7/8" x 1/8" Angle from 1-1/2" x 1" x 1/8" Angle.
  3. Grinding: Make Plates into required non-standard thicknesses, e.g., make 1-1/4" x 48" x 48" from 1-1/2" x 48" x 48" Stainless Plate.
  4. Chemical Milling: Make changes in thickness of Tubes or Sheets to meet customer requirements, e.g., make 4" OD X .035" W Alum Tube from 4" OD x .049" W; also make .085" (+/-.001") x 4' x 12' Alum Sheet from .090" Sheet.
  5. Trepanning/Gun Drilling: Make Tubes from Solid Bar (as specification requirements permit), e.g., make 4" OD X .500" W x 36" Alloy Steel Tube from 4" DIA Solid Bar.
  6. Centerless Grinding: Make smaller or non-standard Outside Diameter Bar from larger Diameter Bar, e.g., make 3-3/16" DIA x 12' Alum (Steel OK too) from 3-1/2" DIA.
  7. Heat Treatment: Make unavailable or non-standard Tempers to meet customer requirements, e.g., make 7075-T6 Bar from 7075-T6511 Bar.
  8. Planing: To reduce Hex or Rectangular dimensions of Bar stock or to make Hex or Rectangular Bar from Round Bar, e.g., make 7/32" Hex from 3/8" Round Stainless Bar.
